APPLICATION OF THE MESOSCALE WEATHER RESEARCH & FORECASTING MODEL TO STUDY THE BOUNDARY LAYER IN THE "GRAY" ZONE OF TURBULENCE MODELING FOR TOMSK CONDITIONS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The results of numerical simulation of the dynamics of an atmospheric boundary layer with high horizontal resolution (333m) over Tomsk using the WRF mesoscale model version 4.2 with two turbulence parameterization schemes – the Mellor–Yamada–Nakanishi–Niino boundary layer scheme and the SMS-3DTKE turbulent kinetic energy scheme, adaptive to the grid scale, are presented.

Keywords:
