Abstract:
Based on radiopulses observations of lightning activity in Yakutia in 2010–2025 and registration of high-energy lightning discharges (>10 kJ) by the worldwide lightning location system, it was found that variations in the annual number of lightning discharges demonstrate a periodic process with local maxima around 2013–2014 and around 2022 with a period of about 10 years, while significantly correlating in antiphase (-0.85, p<0.01) with variations in the average data of neutron monitor in annual resolution and in phase (0.5, p<0.05) of the AE index of geomagnetic activity.
