The first results of the elemental composition study of atmospheric aerosol and soils in the south-eastern districts of Northern Tajikistan, obtained by X-ray fluorescence analysis, revealed high concentrations of certain chemical elements in the studied samples. The ratio of heavy metals and arsenic content in aerosol particles and soil samples in the south-eastern districts of the region was analyzed using correlation-regression dependencies in logarithmic coordinates, as well as histograms. Hazard class I elements contained in technogenic particles are transported by air currents over significant distances. Using the HYSPLIT model, potential sources of atmospheric transport of pollutants to the territory of the Sughd region were identified.
