This paper presents scattering indicatrices and a description of preliminary run parameters for calculating the light scattering matrices of randomly oriented ice particles in cirrus clouds. As an example, particles of such shapes as hexagonal columns, hexagonal plates, and bullets with sizes from 5 to 1000 μm and wavelengths of 0.355; 0.532; 0.85; 1.064; 1.55 μm were selected. The calculation was carried out using the geometric optics method. The results obtained will be further used to create a database.
