In the paper described a model of a meter of turbulence intensity. In a numerical experiment a comparison of the accuracy of differential and single-channel methods for recording the structure constant of turbulence was carried out. The dependence of the parameters registered in the model on the characteristics of atmospheric distortions is determined. As was shown, the structure constant, as well as the integral parameters of the beam, do not completely describe the conditions of radiation propagation.
