In this paper, an experimental study of methane combustion in the presence of an external source of perturbations in the form of an electric field is carried out. Characteristic modes at which stabilization of the flame torch is observed have been revealed. The changes in the flame torch height with increasing strength of the external electric field are analyzed. It was obtained that in the range from 0 to 5.5 kV there is a drop in the maximum amplitude of temperature pulsation, after which stabilization of the flame torch is observed. In addition, with the increase in the voltage between the electrodes there is a drop in the height of the flame torch from 64 mm to 36 mm.
