SEASONAL PECULIARITIES OF THE CONDENSATION ACTIVITY OF NANOMETER PARTICLES

Abstract (English):
To study the parameters of condensation activity of atmospheric particles under artificial changes of the relative humidity of air, a diffusion spectrometer of aerosol was used, which allows measuring the particle size distribution function in the diameter range from 2 to 1200 nm. This made it possible to study the hygroscopic properties of the smallest particles, which lie beyond the sensitivity of nephelometers and optical counters. This paper presents the results of year-round measurements, and seasonal features of condensation activity of nanometer particles as function of their radius are discussed.
