The line profile parameters of the H2S–CO2 spectral line are necessary for studying the atmospheres of planets where carbon dioxide is the main gas, such as Mars and Venus. The results of the measurements and calculations of the H2S line broadening coefficients in the case of broadening by carbon dioxide for a large number of rotational quantum numbers are presented. The calculations are performed using a semi-empirical method based on the impact semi-classical broadening theory and using a correction factor, which parameters are found from a comparison with experimental data.
