FREQUENCY ANALYSIS OF TIME SERIES OF AEROSOL CHARACTERISTICS BASED ON MEASUREMENTS OF SPECTRAL TRANSMISSION OF LIGHT IN THE NEAR-SURFACE LAYER OF THE ATMOSPHERE IN TOMSK

Abstract (English):
The results of the study of time series for the aerosol extinction coefficient measured in the period 2003–2006 in the Tomsk region and the volume concentration of aerosol, which was restored as a result of the inversion , are presented. Experimental data were obtained using an atmospheric spectral transmittance meter at 11 wavelengths in the range 0.45–3.91 µm on a horizontal path in the near-surface layer of the atmosphere. To solve the inverse problem, a numerical algorithm based on the integral distribution method was used. The total amount of processed data was about 6 thousand spectra. Spectral analysis of time series was performed using an algorithm based on the Barning method which was developed for the analysis of data obtained at irregular observational intervals.
