ON THE ORIGIN OF ATMOSPHERIC OSCILLATIONS WITH PERIODS OF 27.32 AND 13.78 DAYS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
In the Earth's atmosphere, oscillations with periods of 27.32 and 13.78 days have been repeatedly detected, which were attributed to the lunar gravitational-tidal mechanism of origin. In the present paper, it is shown that at least three solar indices have also spectral maxima with such or very close periods, and a hypothesis on the solar origin of the considered atmospheric oscillations is suggested and discussed.

Keywords:
atmosphere, solar indices, atmospheric oscillations
