A new method for accounting for overlapping of absorption bands of different gases is proposed for the approximation of transmission function by a series of exponents that provides additive calculation of effective coefficients of molecular absorption of different gases. It is shown that this method allows one to obtain short series of exponents (a small number of parameters), which ensures high speed of calculations of radiation transfer in the Earth's atmosphere. The method we developed is applicable to the radiative transfer simulation in both longwave and shortwave spectral regions, including taking into account multiple scattering on aerosol and cloud particles.
