STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF ABSORPTION IN LIGHT SCATTERING BY DUST PARTICLES IN THE PHYSICAL OPTICS APPROXIMATION
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The paper presents a study of light scattering on pentagons in the approximation of physical optics. The solution is compared with solutions obtained within the invariant T-matrix embedding method (II-TM) and the physical geometrical optics method (PGOM) by other authors. The effect of the effect on the scattering reduction in the direction of backscattering and on the depolarization line is considered. The particle size limit is estimated for the refractive index , after which only the specular component of the signal remains.
