SEVEN-DAY DYNAMICS OF THE KINETIC ENERGY OF WIND OUTLIERS FROM THE DATA OF MINISODAR MEASUREMENTS

Abstract (English):
With the use of robust nonparametric algorithms of the weighed maximum likelihood method under different levels of a priori uncertainty developed by the authors, the seven-day dynamics of the total kinetic energy and the kinetic energy of wind outliers has been analyzed from the results of post-processing of minisodar measurements of three wind velocity components and their variances in the lower 200-meter layer of the atmosphere. By the wind outliers, we understand wind velocity values, including wind gusts, the distribution of which deviates from the a priori distribution of the majority of observations.
